Government postcard, postmarked "Apr 12, 1949," signed by Jackie Robinson. PSA has encapsulated the card and graded the signature NM-MT 8. Robinson has beautifully inscribed the reverse "Best Wishes, Sincerely, Jackie Robinson" in black ink. This postcard was signed just one week prior to the start of Robinson's finest overall season. Robinson posted career and league-high marks in batting average (.342), RBI (124), and stolen bases (37), to go along with his 16 home runs. Those numbers not only helped lead the Dodgers to the 1949 National League Championship, but also earned Robinson the National League MVP Award at season's end. The postcard (5.5x3.75") displays two pinholes near the top border, a tiny area of surface paper loss on the signature side, and a few small, light creases. In Very Good to Excellent condition overall.
