Alex Rodriguez was an immensely touted prospect who made his Major League debut on July 8, 1994, at 18 years old. Displayed is a great offering, a ticket stub to Rodriguez's Major League debut, as his Seattle Mariners visited Boston, with the Red Sox winning 4-3 before 33,355. Alex started the game at shortstop, batting ninth. In his first ever MLB at-bat, in the top of the third inning, he grounded out to third. His subsequent at-bats produced a fly out and a ground out, and he finished the game at 0-3. He played flawlessly in the field, picking up three assists, including one on a double play. In 54 at bats that season, Rodriguez hit .204 with no home runs. He would go on to also play for the Texas Rangers and the New York Yankees in his career. He played 12 seasons with the Yankees, including his last Major League season, in 2016. Rodriguez had a lifetime .295 average and 696 home runs.
