In the 1984 season, Raymond Berry, the Professional Football Hall of Fame wide receiver for the Baltimore Colts, took over the team in mid-season from Ron Meyer and led the Patriots to a 9-7 record. In the next three seasons, Berry's Patriots finished at 11-5, 11-5, and 8-7-1 respectively, and they appeared in Super Bowl XX after the 1986 season, losing to the Chicago Bears. Tony Eason was the main quarterback from 1984-86, and Steve Grogan was the starting quarterback in 1987. The red jacket has white and blue trim at the neck, sleeves, and waist.
