Presented is a 1984-87 New England Patriots pullover jacket that is in remarkable condition. The 1984-87 period was a successful time in Patriots' history. In the 1984 season, Raymond Berry, the Professional Football Hall of Fame wide receiver for the Baltimore Colts, took over the team in mid-season from Ron Meyer and led the Patriots to a 9-7 record. In the next three seasons, Berry's Patriots finished at 11-5, 11-5, and 8-7-1 respectively, and they appeared in Super Bowl XX after the 1986 season, losing to the Chicago Bears. Tony Eason was the main quarterback from 1984-86, and Steve Grogan was the starting quarterback in 1987. The red jacket has white and blue trim at the neck, sleeves, and waist. The left chest has the Patriots' emblem, with "Patriots" underneath the logo. In the neck is a "Bike" manufacturer's tag. The tag indicates size "XL." The back of the tag shows the jacket to have a 100% nylon shell and a 100% polyester lining, and the tag also lists washing instructions. The jacket represents a piece of Patriots' history and shows extremely light use while remaining in exceptional condition.
