Displayed is a Cincinnati Reds stadium flag that is believed, although we can't confirm it, to have hung at Crosley Field, the home field of the Cincinnati Reds, during the 1960s. During the 1960s, Cincinnati won the 1961 National League Pennant. During the decade, the Reds had star players such as the MLB all-time hit king, Pete Rose, and Hall of Fame slugger Frank Robinson The cloth flag features white block lettering on a red background. The flag is 60" long, and its height is 34" at the larger end, and 22" at the smaller end. The flag is of Major League quality with lettering sewn on both sides. The white lettering and trim exhibit some darkening because of age, and each side of the flag has some white spots from sun or possibly ironing. There are loose threads and some loss of the red color because of fading. On the white band of one side of the flag is a handwritten "CINCIN." Near that is a stamped "3 X 6" although the actual measurements of the flag are as described above. There are metal eyelets where the flag was hung on a flagpole. The flag makes an eye-catching addition to a sports collection.
