Offered is a collection of five signed black and white photos of baseball Hall of Famers. 1) Warren Giles had a 33-year career as a baseball executive. He was the general manager and later also the President of the Cincinnati Reds from 1937-51, and he was the President of the National league from 1951-69. While the NL President, he presided over franchises being shifted in the league for the first time since 1900. 2) George Weiss was in charge of player development for the New York Yankees for 16 years (1932-47), during which time the Bombers won nine pennants and eight World Series Championships. Then, as the General Manager of the team (1947-1960), the Yanks won 10 more pennants and seven more World Championships. Then Weiss became the President of the expansion New York Mets from 1961-66. 3) Will Harridge was the President of the American league from 1931-59. The American League Championship Trophy is named after him. 4) Cal Hubbard was an American League umpire from 1936-51. He also was a lineman and linebacker in the NFL, mainly for the New York Giants and the Green Bay Packers, and he was a part of four NFL Championship teams. He is in both the Baseball and the Pro Football Halls of Fame. 5) Catcher Ernie Lombardi, of the Cincinnati Reds, was an outstanding hitter who was one of the slowest runners in baseball history. Despite his lack of speed, Lombardi was a superb hitter who won two NL batting titles, and Lawrence Ritter and Donald Honig included him in their book The Hundred Great Baseball Players of All Time. The photographs measure 8.5x10.5" framed. Overall, the signatures average 7/10.
