Offered is a ticket stub to the 1970 NHL Stanley Cup Final Game 4 that was won in overtime by the Bobby Orr "Flying Goal", a score often considered as the most exciting goal in hockey history. The game was at Boston Garden, with the Boston Bruins holding a 3-0 game lead in the Stanley Cup Finals, and the game went into the overtime tied at 3. Only 40 seconds into the overtime, Orr took a pass from Derek Sanderson and fired a shot that beat St. Louis goalie Gleen Hall. As soon as Orr shot, he was tripped by Blues defenseman Noel Picard. Orr flew into the air, arms akimbo, joyously smiling as flew through the air like a soaring bird. As he landed on the ice he was mobbed by his teammates. Orr's now iconic flight through the air was captured by the Boston Record-American photographer Ray Lussier, who was only in position to take this great shot because another photographer had gone to the concession stand to grab a beer. The victory was the first Stanley Cup the Boston Bruins had won in 29 years. Orr actually changed the game of hockey as he became the first defenseman to be the major playmaker of a team's attack, as well as a prolific goal scorer. The 1969-70 season was an almost unbelievable year for Orr. He scored 33 goals, led the league with 87 assists, and led the NHL in scoring with 120 points. Orr collected four trophies that season: The Hart Trophy (Most Valuable Player; the Ross Trophy (Leading Scorer); the Norris Trophy (Best Defenseman); and the Smythe Trophy (Playoff MVP). Orr led the NHL in scoring twice, and he remains the only defenseman who has ever led the league in scoring. Orr also won a record eight straight Norris Trophies. He played 10 of his 12 NHL seasons with the Bruins and helped them win two Stanley Cups. The ticket stub has been encapsulated and graded PSA Authentic. It is a wonderful keepsake from Bobby's Orr's most mamorable goal, the night in Boston Garden when Bobby Orr flew.
