Presented is a Dave Parker size "48" game worn 1978 jersey. Parker had an awesome year in 1978 as he became the National League MVP. He hit .334, with 30 home runs, drove in 117 runs and scored 102. The outfielder wound up with an OPS of .979. He was on two World Series winning teams, was a 2-time Batting Crown winner, took three Silver Slugger Awards, and three Gold Gloves and, he was a 7-time All-Star. On the front of the short-sleeved road jersey, on the chest in gold lettering, are "Pirates" and "39." On the front left outside tail is a "Descente" manufacturer's tag and a tag reading "39 48 78." The back of the jersey reads "39" in gold numerals. In the 1978 season, Pittsburgh finished second in the National League East with an 88-73 record. The Pirates were on their way. The next season Parker and the other Pittsburgh players became the "We Are Family" Pirates, went 98-64 in the regular season and won the World Series. The jersey shows light use and is in good condition.
