Both of these tickets have been culled from the #1 Ranked Muhammad Ali Ticket Collection on the PSA Registry, which is being offered as a "set break" in our Spring Classic 2022 auction. Listed on the PSA Registry as "Muhammad Ali On-Site Ticket Collection," the collection is 74.60% complete with a Weighted GPA of 11.56. 1) Ticket stub (4x2.5") from the Heavyweight Championship Bout between Cassius Clay and champion Sonny Liston held at the Convention Hall in Miami, Florida, on February 25, 1964. Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. Of the nineteen examples of this particular stub listed in the PSA Population Report, only three have been graded higher than the offered example. Clay shocked the world with a TKO win over Liston in the seventh round to win his first Heavyweight Championship. 2) Full ticket (blue variation; 5.25x2.25") issued for the Heavyweight Championship Bout between Sonny Liston and champion Muhammad Ali at the Civic Center in Lewiston, Maine, on May 25, 1965. Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Of the forty-nine blue variation examples of this particular full ticket listed in the PSA Population Report, only nine have been graded higher. This was the famous rematch between the pair that Ali won by knockout in the first round with his "phantom punch."
