Presented is a fascinating collection of ticket proofs of college football games spanning 1930-1969. All of the games were at New York venues such as Yankee Stadium, the Polo Grounds, etc. Some of the games: West Virginia at Fordham at the Polo Grounds, Oct. 17, 1942; Morgan (C.I.A.A. Champions) vs. North Carolina State, at the Polo Grounds, Oct. 11, 1947 (four ticket proofs, each for a different section, including one sideline pass. One of the tickets has two small tears); Princeton vs. Navy, at Yankee Stadium, Oct. 10, 1942; U.S. Military Academy vs. University of Illinois, at Yankee Stadium, Nov. 8, 1930 (small tear on top right); Army vs. Southern California, at Yankee Stadium, Nov. 3, 1951 (with future star Frank Gifford on USC); Notre Dame vs, North Carolina, at Yankee Stadium, Nov. 12, 1947 (three different tickets, each for a different area); U.S. Military Academy vs. University of Illinois, at Yankee Stadium, Nov. 8, 1930 (tear in each upper corner). 90% of these tickets are proofs. The others are actual tickets. A great collection of New York City college football proofs.
