Original Type I photograph capturing Ted Williams making a speech to the crowd during "Ted Williams Day" at Fenway Park on April 30, 1952. The team honored Williams on this day because it was to be his last game before reporting to Camp Willow Grove in Pennsylvania for active duty as a Marine fighter pilot. Williams had two hits in the game, including a two-run home run in Boston's 5-3 win against Detroit. Two Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with handwritten notation "Ted Williams on Ted Williams Day 4/30/52." The photo (8x10") displays light creasing in the border areas and minor staining on the reverse, some of which is visible from the front. In Very Good condition overall. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
