"The Road to Forty" was the slogan that the NFL used to promote Super Bowl XL. The verbiage had a double meaning: It was the league's fortieth reiteration of the Super bowl and the "Road" reference was a nod to Detroit, as the host city, the "Motor City," putting cars on the road. Fittingly, the Detroit stadium was named "Ford Field." In the Super Bowl, the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Seattle Seahawks 21-10 and became the first team to win the Super Bowl by winning four games in the playoffs, none of them at home. Future Hall of Famers associated with the game: Pittsburgh running back Jerome Bettis, guard Alan Faneca, and safety Troy Polamalu, and owner/administrator Dan Rooney and scout Bill Nuni. Hall of Famers for Seattle were guard Steve Hutchinson and offensive tackle Walter Jones. The MVP of the game was Pittsburgh wide receiver Hines Ward, who caught five passes for 123 and a touchdown, the scoring pass coming from a fourth quarter pass from fellow wide receiver Antwann Randle El. The ticket image pays homage to NFL history with a photo of the Lombardi Trophy pictured with movie game films. The full ticket orange variation ticket specifies wheelchair seating with a list price of $600. It has been encapsulated and graded by PSA GEM MT 10.
