Sammy Sosa Mizuno block-letter (full name) model ("Pro Ltd") bat dating from the 2000-2001 manufacturing period. Graded GU 9 by PSA. The bat, which is not cracked, measures 34 inches in length and weighs 36 ounces. Excellent use is displayed throughout, including numerous ball marks, cleat marks, and Mota Stick on the handle. The knob has been thickly wrapped in white tape, which was customary for Sosa game-used bats. Sosa's uniform number ("21") is written on the knob in silver paint pen. This bat dates to one of the most prolific two-year periods in Sosa's career. Sosa hit a league-leading 50 home runs in 2000 and followed that up with 64 home runs in 2001. He also had a career and league-high 160 RBI in 2001. One of only nine players to hit 600 or more home runs, Sosa finished his career with 609 home runs, 1,667 RBI, and a .273 lifetime average.
