Some of the sweetest swings in all of baseball were taken by the owner of this very bat in this terrific Don Mattingly circa 1991-95 game used beauty. While the bat is uncracked, there is some grain swelling and separation at the barrel, with some blue ink ball transfers across the barrel and a nice coat of pine tar on the handle. Mattingly has added his signature in bold black Sharpie along with his uniform number, and a somewhat faded number 7 is written on the knob. This bat is from the period covering the last five seasons of his superb career in Pinstripes, and while injuries had started to take their toll, Donnie Baseball never batted below .288 in the final stretch while continuing his majestic fielding with four of his nine Gold Glove Awards. Graded GU 10, an all-around winner.
