Poster, issued by the Interborough Rapid Transit Company, promoting football games at Yankee Stadium, the Polo Grounds, Baker Field, and Ebbets Field. These posters, which are printed on thin paper stock, were displayed on the company's train lines and promoted its speedy service: "to avoid street congestion use I.R.T Lines." Dated "1937" in the upper right corner. The poster (21.5x15.5", visible dimensions) displays a light horizontal and vertical fold (as issued) and has paper loss in both the lower right and left corners, and upper left corner. Light staining affects the upper right corner. The poster appears to be affixed to a cardboard mount of equal dimensions. In apparent Good to Very Good condition.
