Original Type I photograph of White Sox outfielder Hap Felsch taken by renowned baseball photographer Charles Conlon. Felsch is pictured in closeup as he gazes directly into the camera. Conlon's handwritten notation "(Chicago Americans)" appears on the reverse, along with two "Brown Brothers" credit stamps and additional editorial markings. Although no year is listed, the uniform style shown here was used by the White Sox only in 1916 and 1919. Felsch was one of Chicago's infamous "Eight Men Out" who conspired to "throw" the 1919 World Series and was later banned from baseball by Commissioner Landis in 1921. The photo measures 7x8.5" and displays light creasing and editorial outlining and shading. Very Good condition. Culled from the Legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
