Rare circa 1920s apron worn by a newsboy on the street hawking issues of the "New York Telegram." The colorful painted graphics feature an illustration of a baseball, with the red-lettered text reading "Latest Base Ball Scores Racing In The New York Telegram." Two separate pockets are sewn on the front. Of particular interest to collectors is the fact that legendary photographer Charles Conlon worked for the "New York Telegram" his entire career. The blue-cloth apron is heavily worn and faded, with light staining, indicating that it probably saw many years of use in the field. All the strings remain intact. 16.5" wide and 20.25" long.
