Enormous composite-photo display issued in commemoration of the Atlantic City Sea Gulls' 1938-1939 hockey season. The attractive design consists of actual photos of seventeen team members (including the coach and team manager) which have been precisely cut to form and affixed to a large mount. Each individual is identified in print directly below his respective image. The center of the display features two large photos, one capturing the team in action on the rink, and the other picturing the exterior of the arena at night. Artistic embellishments further adorn the piece, including the name of the team and year on an illustrated clamshell. The photographer's credit, "Central Studios Atlantic City," appears in the lower right corner. The Sea Gulls were members of the Eastern Amateur Hockey League from 1933 to 1942, and also for the 1947-1948 and 1951-1952 seasons. Given the size of this piece it was most likely produced to hang in the arena or team office, and remains a unique memento from one of Atlantic City's former sports clubs. The display measures 47x29.25" (visible dimensions) and displays light staining along the base. A few of the photos show slight loosening from the mount. In Very Good condition overall. Framed to total dimensions of 49x31.5".
