Original Type I photograph of Fenway Park. Superb early image of a game in progress at what is currently the oldest Major League ballpark. Taken from the vantage point of the upper grandstand near the third base side of home plate, one can clearly see the batter, catcher, and umpire, as well as the first base coach. Fenway Park was built in 1912 and this photo almost certainly dates from its first decade of use, a time when the Red Sox captured four World Championships. Two Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with a handwritten editorial notation. The photo measures 4.5x3.75” and is in Excellent condition. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
