Circa 1914 original, from-the-camera, one of a kind glass plate negative features Hall of Fame hurler Eddie Plank in the later stages of his 14-year tenure with the Philadelphia Athletics. Plank, whose 66 career shutouts still is the all-time record for left-handers, is shown following through during pregame warmups in this 5x7" image. Some oxidation present and typical minor image loss at edges, none of which tarnishes the image of one of the game's most formidable southpaws. A prize artifact from the collection of the Brown Brothers photo service, which was founded in 1904.
