More fun with the Bambino in this one of a kind, straight from the camera glass plate negative of Babe Ruth at Chicago's Comiskey Park circa 1928. Ruth pays tribute to the Chicago Fire Department in this 4x5" negative, as he has replaced his Yankees hat with a firefighters' helmet marked with CHIEF, FIRE MARSHALL, and CFD (Chicago Fire Department) and Comiskey as the backdrop. Minor image loss to the edges does not at all detract from the image of Ruth the Showman in all his glory.
