One of the most unusual and desirable of all hockey jersey styles, this "Pepsi-style" game worn Buffalo Bisons jersey has great history. In 1956, Buffalo's American Hockey League franchise was purchased by a local Pepsi distributor, and they capitalized on that affiliation by changing their team logo to a Pepsi-style bottle cap. Widely scoffed at the time, the logo was popular among Bisons fans and these original jerseys have become more sought-after over the years. As another Buffalo connection, we have been told but can't confirm that this circa 1960s jersey was worn by Gil Perreault in preseason of the Sabres first season; whether or not the Hall of Famer donned this heavily-used specimen, it is a superb jersey and makes for great conversation. White home top is all original but hammered with use, including countless team repairs. Numbers are all original but have some broken anchor stitching and some anchor stitching which has been reinforced by the team; some staining from sweat, paint transfers, stick marks, burns (one of which appears to be from a cigarette on the back), and pilling.
