ADDENDUM: This jersey is not from the 1999 Stanley Cup season as was stated in the printed catalog and previously online. It was worn at some point during the following season.
Tremendous 1999-2000 Buffalo Sabres jersey game worn by superstar goalie Dominik Hasek. Road black jersey has stylized buffalo head logo on chest, Stanley Cup patch on right breast, and secondary "B" logo patch on each shoulder. Hasek's 39 is on both shoulders and back in white-on-gray/red tackle twill, name is in a plate above rear number in white-on-red. Pro Player and size G58 tags in collar, shows light but definite use with some stick marks and pilling at the neck collar area created by the goalie mask. Known for his flamboyant playing style, the Czech native was nearly impenetrable during the regular season with a tiny 1.87 goals against average, earning the Vezina Trophy as the NHL's best netminder and rare consideration for MVP honors, uncommon for his position, while leading the Sabres to an unlikely run to the Stanley Cup Finals for just the second time in franchise history. Not only was The Dominator an easy Hall of Fame choice, but he is still among the short list of candidates for the greatest ever between the pipes.
