A very popular issue from Topps in 1952, Wings captured all the excitement of aircraft of the day, from the fighter planes of WW2 thru commercial aircraft of the same period and ensuing years. The card fronts all present very colorful images of the aircraft, while the reverse offers pertinent information on the plane, except in certain cases where classified or unknown. These cards were very popular with the youth of America at a time when the vestiges of WW2 were still fresh in everyone’s mind. Cards grade 10% NM or better, 45% EX to EX-MT, 35% VG-EX and 10% slightly lesser, with about 15% slight to moderate oc. A must-have set for anyone with a nostalgic love of aircraft.
