Split into two series of 48, cards grade 12% EX or better, 29% VG-EX to EX, 26% VG, 16% GD-VG and the remainder lesser. 2) 1933 R142 Goudey Gum Co. ‘Soldier Boys’ complete set of 24. Colorful artwork of military men from various countries. Cards are nicely balanced with an overall grade of VG-EX, with a few lesser, mainly due to centering issues. 3) 1939 R165 Gum Inc. ‘War News Pictures’ near-set (105/108). Great and interesting combination of photos, plus black & white, orange-hued and red/white/blue drawings. Missing only #s 9, 10 and 103 for completion. Cards are 65% EX-MT or better, 20% EX to EX-MT, 10% VG-EX and 5% lesser. 4) 1940 R165 Gum Inc. ‘War News Pictures’ - ‘F-L-A-S-H’ series, high number run (#s 121-144).
