A piece of American Hockey history is on the line with this Northland goalie stick, which was issued to Jim Craig to be used in the 1980 Olympics. This particular stick was never used and is not taped but otherwise identical to the one that he did use, which was sold in our last auction for over $50,000 as part of the Jim Craig Collection. What makes this so cool is that the stick that Craig used has a serial number of 723974 and this stick has a serial number of 723973 which indicates that this stick came off the line immediately before the one that Craig used to shock the hockey world. The Northland stick with straight blade has pattern number 9182 stamped on the shaft along with "CRAIG." The 1980 "Miracle on Ice" remains as one of the biggest upsets in sports history.
