This trophy was awarded to Jaromir Jagr as NHL Player of the Year from The Sporting News. It is in the form of crystal with a wood base, and etched in the crystal is "The Sporting News, NHL Player of the Year 1999-2000, Jaromir Jagr, Pittsburgh Penguins." The etchings are on different parts of the glass, giving it a great 3-D look. The wood base measures 7x5" and 2" high, with a rectangular felt cutout on top on which the crystal rests. It comes with the original box for the crystal, and also original mailing box and label from the Sporting News to Jagr. In NRMT condition, this is a simply gorgeous award and a piece of history related to the man who will go down as one of the game's all-time greats - if he ever retires.
