This heavy canvas full-length coat weighs an astonishing eight pounds. From the 1930s and sporting unusual style and construction, it has been in the same family for all these decades. It has a huge "W" on the back; the significance is dedication to University of Wisconsin football. It probably belonged to a former team member who wore the coat year after year. Coat is handpainted, "W" and a "21" on the left sleeve. The front has heavy duty riveted metal buckles (one is missing), and a belt which has darkening and minor rust. This jacket has seen significant use, shows some wear and minor soiling but makes an excellent appearance and is a great display piece.
