Displayed is a 1930s Babe Ruth original George Burke photograph that depicts the Bambino demonstrating his classic follow through. Although the Inaugural Hall of Famer's single-season (60) and lifetime (714) home run marks have been surpassed, Ruth still holds the all-time MLB career marks for slugging (.690) and OPS (1.164). There was no one like the Babe: In a number of seasons, he hit more home runs than the combined home run totals of several teams in the American League. The offered photo measures 4x6". Ruth's bulk places the photo as being in the 1930s, near the end of his years with the Yankees. On back, the photo shows a typed "640/RUTH, Babe" plus the stamped "GEO. BURKE/847 Belmont Ave./CHICAGO." Burke was one of the premier photographers of his era. The photo exhibits some sight foxing and darkening because of its age, and there are two spots of very small paper loss from the outer layer of the photograph. The photograph has been encapsulated and PSA graded TYPE I AUTHENTIC.
