Rare oversized cards from Japan. 1) 1951 Joe Dimaggio. Striking, giant-sized, first prize winner bromide is a beautiful memento of the series of games. 2) 1951 O'Doul and Joe DiMaggio. O'Doul and DiMaggio were together in Japan on several occasions. The most famous time was in 1954, when DiMaggio was accompanied by his then wife, Marilyn Monroe. Supposedly, Monroe became jealous of all the adulation DiMaggio was receiving and left the tour for a number of days. 3) 1953 Yogi Berra. Dazzling, full-color premium commemorates the 1953 Ed Lopat U.S. Major League All-Star Tour of Japan. All first prize bromide cards of this type contain paper and/or glue residue because of previous attachment to a display sheet, which does not detract significantly from condition. O/w EX-MT, average 7x10".
