First baseman John Ganzel played 11 seasons at the turn of the 20th Century, including a two-year stint with the pre-Yankees Highlanders team in 1903-04. The one-time N.L. triples leader signed this Official National League (Frick) baseball that has a spot shellacked on the sweet spot but the journeyman infielder's signature is strong and the ball is near-white. Ganzel died in 1959 at the age of 84.
