Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris teamed up to wreak destruction on American League opponents in the early 1960s, and they teamed up again to dual sign the offering, a vivid, detailed black & white photograph of these M&M Boys as they peer into a batting cage, most likely at Yankee Stadium. Mantle was a 3-time AL MVP, Triple Crown winner and 20-time All-Star who still holds the MLB record for most lifetime home runs for a switch-hitter (536). Roger Maris didn't not have as sustained a run of excellence as exhibited by Mantle, but the Yankee right fielder had two tremendous back-to-back seasons in 1960-61. He was the AL MVP in both seasons, hitting 39 home runs and leading the AL in slugging (.581) and RBIs (112) in 1960, and leading the AL in Runs (132), RBIs (141), and of course, home runs (61) as he broke Babe Ruth's single-season home run record in '61. The offered signed photo measures 7.8x10.5", matted and framed to 13.1x16". Both Mantle and Maris wrote in black marker. Mantle signed his classic, beautifully scripted autograph and added a great, detailed inscription: H.O.F. 1974/MVP '56 '57 '62/Triple Crown 1956 - 536 HR'S". Maris also signed a big and bold, neatly written signature. The offering is in EXCELLENT condition. It comes with a PSA LOA. The offering is in EXCELLENT condition.
