Hall of Fame coach Knute Rockne signed this typed letter to a Mr. William Batten of Salem, NJ, who had apparently reached out to the Notre Dame legend in late 1927 inquiring about his interpretation of a particular play. Rockne's response consists entirely of: "Replying to your note of December 8, the play you mention would count as a touchdown. Yours very truly, K.K. Rockne." The signature in black ink is perfect and we give it a 10! The document - on official Notre Dame letterhead - has typical mail folds and comes with its original envelope.
