From the Nippon Baseball Kimono Collection, an important archive of baseball and other sports-themed kimonos recently discovered in Japan and exported to the United States. Compiled over many decades, they are the finest we have seen. Interesting youth sized kimono that features children playing baseball. The mostly blue kimono features an image of a "little leaguer" swinging a bat along with other baseball themed imagery such as scoreboards, bats, balls and gloves. The scoreboard's flagpole displays a large Japanese flag and is perfectly placed in the center of the kimono's back. This unique and cute child size kimono appears to be the perfect size for a two-year-old. Some slight staining can be found along with a few loose threads here and there but doesn't take away from the overall appearance.
