Displayed is a vintage 1960s autograph of English actress and singer Julie Andrews, who rose to international fame with her performance on Broadway as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, in which she starred from 1956-58, and for which she received the first of her three Tony Award nominations. Born in 1935, Andrews has had a seven-decade career. For her film career, she has had three Academy Award nominations, winning for Best Actress in Mary Poppins (1964). She received Oscar nominations for her iconic performance in The Sound of Music (1965) and for Victor/ Victoria (1982). She also won two Emmy Awards, six Golden Globe Awards, and a pair of Grammies. Andrews' cut signature is on a piece of paper or thin card stock measuring approx. 2.25x4'. The foregoing piece is affixed to a larger 22.75x4.1" piece of paper or card stock. At the bottom of the larger piece is JULIE ANDREWS STAR OF MY FAIR LADY, printed on two thin strips of plastic tape with a hand-held labeler and attached to the bottom of the larger card. Andrews has neatly signed and inscribed the offering using blue ink from a ballpoint pen, Sincerely, Julie Andrews. The offering has been encapsulated and Certified AUTHENTIC AUTO.
