New York Yankees road jersey worn by Hall of Fame reliever Mariano Rivera during the 2006 season. Rivera has personally attested to its game-used status by inscribing the jersey in black Sharpie (grading 6/10; faded) on the left breast: "Mariano Rivera/#42/2006 Game Used." Also accompanied by a full LOA and two corresponding hologram labels (for the jersey and autograph; each affixed to the left front tail) from Steiner Sports. The gray knit jersey is lettered "New York" across the front and features the number 42 on the reverse. All letters and numerals are applied in navy on white tackle twill. Located on the left front tail are a "Majestic" label, a "2006" year tag, and a "48" size tag. The jersey is original as issued and displays moderate wear. Rivera enjoyed another banner season in 2006, finishing the season with a 5-5 record, 34 saves, and a 1.80 ERA. Considered by many to be the greatest reliever in baseball history, he retired in 2013 with a record 652 saves and a 2.21 lifetime ERA. He is also the only player to be unanimously inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, an honor he received in 2019.
