Kansas City-Omaha Kings road jersey worn by center Mike Ratliff. This style jersey was worn by the Kings only for the 1972-1973 and 1973-1974 seasons, making it a rare NBA style jersey. There is no year tag on the jersey and Ratliff played with the Kings only during that two-year span, so it could date to either season. The blue knit jersey is lettered "Kings" across the front and features the number 43 on the left breast and reverse. "Ratliff" is lettered on the reverse, directly below the number. All letters and reverse numerals are applied in white on red tackle twill. All front numerals are applied in red on white tackle twill. Located on the interior left front tail are a Rawlings 46 label and a wash tag. The jersey is original as issued and displays moderate use. Ratliff appeared in 58 games with the Kings during the club's first season in Kansas City in 1972-1973, but only 2 games the following year. His two seasons with the Kings represent the entirety of his NBA career. This is an outstanding example of what is certainly one of the rarest of all NBA jerseys.
