Milwaukee Brewers home jersey worn by pitcher Wayne Twitchell during the 1970 season. 1970 marked the club's first season in Milwaukee (the franchise began as the Seattle Pilots in 1969). In addition to being the club's inaugural jersey, this is also a rare two-year style, used by the club for only the 1970 and 1971 seasons. The white flannel jersey is lettered "Brewers" across the front and features the number 48 on the reverse. All letters and numerals are applied in blue on gold tackle twill. Located on the left front tail is a "Wilson 44" label, below which is both the year and player's name ("70 - Twitchell") chain-stitched in green. The jersey is original as issued and displays light use. 1970 was Twitchell's first season in the Majors and he appeared in just two games with the Brewers. Those two games would also be his final two for the club, as he was traded to the Phillies prior to the start of the 1971 season. Twitchell retired after the 1979 season with 48 wins and a 4.98 lifetime ERA.
