In 1962, Warren Spahn was named "Player of the Year" by the Pennsylvania chapter of Connie Mack Baseball. Offered is the wooden plaque issued to Spahn by the organization in commemoration of that honor. An affixed metallic plate at the top features an image of Connie Mack, while the engraved bottom plate reads "Connie Mack Baseball/Penna/Player of the Year/Award/To/Warren Spahn/1962. A small American Legion emblem adorns the bottom plate. This plaque originates from Spahn's personal collection and was sold at auction many years ago with numerous other items from his estate. At the time, it included a photo of this piece hanging on the wall at Spahn's home, but the photo no longer accompanies the piece. The plaque (8x10") displays light wear and is in Excellent condition.
