In honor of Jack Lambert's tremendous play during the September 9, 1972 game between Kent State and rival Akron U.  Although the game ended in a tie (13-13) Lambert was phenomenal and was awarded this handsome trophy.  Standing in at 24" tall, this wooden and this gold appearing trophy features a football figure on top and an engraved plaque that reads, "AWARDED TO DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE GAME - KENT STATE AKRON U FOOTBALL GAME 1972 - JACK LAMBERT - PRESENTED BY THE AKRON COCA COLA BOTTLING CO." Sourcing directly from Jack Lambert's personal collection, this one-of-a-kind trophy has been signed and inscribed "#99" matching gold marker. Presents in VG condition with some tarnishing and light wear to the wood base.
