Considered one of the greatest small forwards of all time, Scottie Pippen was a multidimensional player who ran the court like a point guard, attacked the boards like a power forward, and swished the nets like a shooting guard. Pippen is also the only NBA player to have won an NBA title and Olympic gold medal in the same year twice (1992/1996).
Worn during the Tournament of the Americas in 1992 by Pippen, these sneakers were on the court as the Dream Team dominated the rest of the entrants from American continents and helped Team USA enter the Olympics as the number 1 team.
Red, white and blue size 15 Nike Air sneakers show incredible use with creases in the toes and feature blue scuff marks on the rear of the right example just above the heel. There are also multiple black scuff marks on the toes, proving heavy game use. Both have been signed and inscribed “#8” by Pippen and the signatures rate a stunning 10 out of 10.
Comes from a member of the "Dream Team" support staff who was given these shoes by Pippen himself following the Tournament of the Americas Gold Medal Game on July 5, 1992. These shoes are "hobby fresh" and are truly one-of-a-kind. This support staff member was also fortunate to have received the sneakers worn by Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson from the same game; those too are in the current Lelands auction. Remarkable provenance comes with a Lelands LOA.
