Worn by the Pro and College Football Hall of Famer Doak Walker, this sideline sweater and pants are really something to behold. Known as "Mr. Football", Doak Walker is one of the greatest running backs to ever take the field and is one of the NFL's early superstars. On the inside rear right tail is the MacGregor manufacturers tag size “46”. On the left sleeve is the incredibly rare “DETROIT 1701 1951 250TH BIRTHDAY FESTIVAL” patch. This patch was only worn by the Detroit Tigers and Lions in 1951. Beneath this on the sleeve the player number “37” appears in grey tackle twill. The manufacturers tag on the inside front button path of the pants has been removed but the Lippman’s distributors tag and washing instructions remain.
