Here we have a fine partial set of pasteboards from R56 "Funnies", produced by the General Gum Company of Chicago in 1934. These interesting novelty cards were designed to produce an action scene when a celluloid screen (not included) was placed over the card. Group includes such comic strip delights as Little Orphan Annie, Moon Mullins and Dick Tracy. The backs also offer a brief description of the characters illustrated on the front. Cards present in very acceptable mid grade, with 5 EX-MT, 7 EX, 4 VG-EX and 4 VG, mostly due to corner dings. All cards are reasonably well-centered.
Very nice quality for this seldom-seen issue!
Total of 20 cards.
