Stellar selection of 71 photos taken by the bat boy for the St. Louis Cardinals at their Florida Spring Training site, Al Lang Stadium, in the late 1940s to early '50s. Taken with Argus C-35mm camera on the field during pregame practice, all measure 3x4.5" except for four that measure 5x7" (DiMaggio, Williams, Musial and Slaughter). Total of 24 are signed including: Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, Casey Stengel, Stan Musial (2), Phil Rizzuto, Enos Slaughter, Red Schoendienst, Al Brazle (2), Howie Pollet (2), Marty Marion, Harry Walker, Joe Garagiola, Brazle/Brecheen/Walker and more. The other 47 are unsigned featuring: DiMaggio (2), Williams (3), Musial (2), Combs, Stengel, Grantland Rice, Southworth, D. DiMaggio, Doerr (2), Kell, Marion, Brecheen (2), Steve O'Neill and more. The vast majority are helpfully labeled on the back with the subjects of the photo; also comes with 37 negatives on strips including all major names.
