This nice game-worn jersey was used by formidable Steelers nose tackle Casey Hampton during his rookie season. Known to teammates and fans as "Big Snack," he spent his entire 12-year career in Pittsburgh, winning Super Bowls with the team in 2005 and 2008. Hampton also gained elite status when he was named to the Steelers All-Time Team in 2007 which highlighted the top 33 players from the franchise's founding in 1933. This white, road jersey was worn by Hampton in 2001 - his rookie season - after being selected in that year's NFL Draft in the first round. It has an "01-48" tag in the neck, and a Steelers Reebok size 48 tag on the tail. There are paint transfers throughout, as well as loose threads and three team repairs. There is a Steelers patch on the left shoulder and the jersey has been photomatched to Getty image #505143 from a Nov 25th, 2001, meeting with the Titans in which the Steelers won 34-24. Comes with Steelers LOA signed by Art Rooney II.
