In 1953 Mother's Cookies produced two Television and Radio Star sets, each containing many of the top actors and actresses of the early 1950s. Both sets contained 63 cards and included such stars as Groucho Marx, Ozzie Nelson, Ricky Nelson, Natalie Wood, William Bendix and Rock Hudson. The cards feature full color photographs with facsimile autographs on the front, while the backs have statistics and an advertisement for the television or radio show along with a mail-in offer for larger photographs. The cards came in packages of Mother's Cookies, sold in the early 1950s. The first set is headlined by #1 Audie Murphy and contains 51 of 63 cards plus two (2) duplicates. Stars in this group include Tony Curtis, Jane Russell, Fred MacMurray and Rock Hudson. Cards are in uniform EX-MT or better condition, with minor chipping being the only fault on otherwise very clean surfaces. The second set is missing only three for a complete set, and has nine duplicates. This set headlines with Marjorie Lord, and includes pasteboards of Ozzie and Ricky Nelson, Groucho Marx, Danny Thomas, William Bendix, Ginger Rogers, Natalie Wood and Barbara Stanwyck. Cards are again in uniform EX-MT or better condition, with very minor chipping being the only fault on only a few cards. Total of 123 cards.
