Great memento from what some consider the greatest horror/adventure film of all time. Radio Pictures released King Kong in 1933 to fantastic acclaim. The film stared Fay Wray, Bruce Cabot, and Robert Armstrong. It is set in New York City in 1932 and is still popular with film aficionados. The great King Kong is frightening and yet also poignantly vulnerable as his affection for the Fay Wray character leads to his destruction. 7-and-a-half foot wooden prop spear from King Kong, 1933. Included at the business end of the spear is a 10-inch rubber "spear point." The long wooden handle is made of wood and is painted in green and yellow, and the spear point is painted silver. There is one 16" red tassel and the other tassel is missing. The spear tip shows wear and some cracks and some loss its rubber "blade." Shows nice use as a prop with some scratches and minor paint loss. Very good condition. Shown is a copy of the LOA given to the consignor from the seller.
