Very rare wool jacket from the 1940s. During the 1940s the Yankees had some fantastic players lead them to five pennants and four World Series championships. They had Hall of Famers Joe DiMaggio, Bill Dickey, Red Ruffing, Yogi Berra, Joe Gordon, and Phil Rizzuto. This is what the players wore on cold nights, maybe one of the aforementioned. Dark blue jacket. Big, white, felt NY sewn on the left chest area. Seven blue snaps down front. Wilson size 46 tagging in the collar. Has a few team repairs on the front, but otherwise fine condition. This is not to be confused with a retail jacket. It was made especially for the players and is the same type that you could see Joe DiMaggio wearing. We are not sure who wore it as there are no identifiers.
