Long before Stan Lee and Jack Kirby created the fictional superhero for Marvel in 1966 and Chadwick Boseman portrayed him on film in 2018, there was Harry Wills, the original Black Panther. The greatest African-American boxer between Johnson and Louis, The Black Panther never got a chance to fight for the Heavyweight Title. Still he was a three-time World Colored Heavyweight Champion.
