Collection of 5 unopened nonsport packs related to the W553 baseball series, issued by Marble Gum in 1929. Packs are entitled "Bubble Gum Novelties", with the full address of Marble Gum printed on each wrapper. The packs come in blue or pink shading and are translucent, allowing one to view the card inside upon close inspection. Thought to be one of the first - if not THE first - bubble-gum card issues ever produced!
