They had a 110-44 record, finishing first by 19 games and swept the Pittsburgh Pirates in the World Series. This was the year that Babe Ruth hit his then record 60 home runs. Yankees: HOF Ruth, HOF Gehrig, HOF Lazzeri, Hoyt, Pennock, Bengough, Gazella, Durst, Dugan. Red Sox: HOF Ruffing, Harris, Hofman, Rothrock, MacFayden, Russell. Three unidentifiable.
